Please provide a language proficiency test that is equivalent to or above CEFR B1. The department may require a higher level. Please provide a language proficiency test certificate in accordance with the requirements of each department.

Applicants that meet any one of the following criteria are exempted from providing certificates of language proficiency.
請依據各系所要求提供語言檢定考試證書。下列申請者不需檢附語言檢定考試證書:

• For applicants applying for an English-taught program: 英文學程申請者

1. Applicants from English as the official or common language Nations (proof required). Please refer to  [The List of Nations with English as the Official or Common Language].

申請者來自官方語言及通用語言為英語之國家。(需檢附證明)詳見[官方語言及通用語言為英語之國家名單一覽表]。

2. Applicants whose previous degree was obtained from English as the official or common language nations (proof required). Please refer to [The List of Nations with English as the Official or Common Language].

前一學位畢業於官方語言及通用語言為英語之國家的申請者(需檢附證明)。詳見[官方語言及通用語言為英語之國家名單一覽表]。

3. Applicants whose previous degree was conducted in English (English as the medium of instruction proof required).

申請者前一學歷以英語授課(須檢附全英語授課證明)。

• NOTE: To qualify for an exemption from submitting a language proficiency certificate, current Taiwan Tech students must upload a certificate of enrollment that specifies English as the medium of instruction. Taiwan Tech graduates must submit a certificate of degree conferral that also indicates English as the medium of instruction. This certificate must be issued by the Office of Academic Affairs. Transcripts and diplomas are not accepted as valid proof for this exemption. 

本校在校生若申請免繳語言能力證明，須上傳註明授課語言為英語之在學證明；畢業生則須上傳註明授課語言為英語之學位證明。上述證明文件須由教務處核發。成績單與畢業證書皆不被視為有效的語言能力證明豁免依據。

• For applicants applying for a Chinese-taught program: 中文學程申請者   

1. Applicants whose previous degree was conducted in   Chinese(Mandarin). Proofs required.  畢業於中文授課課程者，須檢附證明。
2. Applicants who have previously majored in Chinese(Mandarin). Proofs required. 前一學位主修為中文之申請者，須檢附證明。
